Hello, Crafters.
Happy weekend to you all.
Today we're planning to get our house decorated for Christmas. For the first time in years, we're having Christmas at home!
On
Christmas morning, we're off to church first, then my daughter and two
grandchildren, Jack and Molly, will come back to our house for dinner.
On Boxing Day, my son, his partner and other grandson, Stephen, will be coming over. I'm so looking forward to Christmas.
Yesterday was the last day for my tea-light challenge and it has been the toughest one yet! I'll try and choose something easier next week! LOL!!
Although this has been my toughest challenge, it has also been the most satisfying! I've received a great deal of positive feed back, too.
I've now made videos for three of the projects, and have been requested to make one for fourth one!
My final project is my tea-light take on our Festive Flower Punch Poinsettia from the Reason For The Season Stamp Set.
Needless to say I've had to use quite a bit of artistic license, especially with the number of petals I've used. I'll have to call it the JanB Hybrid Poinsettia! LOL!!
I apologise for the poor quality of the colour of the photographs! The colours should be Real Red and Old Olive! Really? Yes, really! The green isn't too bad but the red looks so very orangey.
The embossed card stock I used for the centre of the poinsettia was some embossed scrap I found in my Daffodil Delight folder. It was left over from a project I made when I had the Perfect Dots (?) Embossing Folder. I should have done a new piece using Decorative Dots Embossing Folder because I think it looks like a golf ball, don't you? LOL!
On that note, I'm off to start decorating the house for Christmas. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
