I have posted today's video called Christmas Bauble with Battery-operated Tea-light. When I posted the photographs on my blog on Friday, I wasn't sure whether to make a video or not. As I was working through the day, I decided it would be a good idea to make one!
I was somewhat traumatised yesterday when we found we had been burgled. Fortunately, the thieves had broken into our detached garage and not our actual house. The garage is at the bottom of our garden and has to be accessed via a private road at the back.

While I was waiting for hubby to join me I had a look around and saw the chest freezer had been left open, the wine rack was empty, the champagne rack was empty, the shelves where we kept all the house cleaning and laundry products were empty, a cupboard door was open, as was one of hubby's tool boxes, desk drawers and filing cabinet drawers! Hubby arrived and also started looking around. He noticed his overalls had been moved from their hook and hung over the window, which is next to the door, to block any view from the house!
The police arrived within two hours which we thought was pretty good. They had a good look around, then came into the house and asked loads of questions. This morning we're waiting for the forensics guys to arrive.
This weekend, we have hundreds, possibly thousands of people in all parts of the UK whose homes have been flooded. This has helped us to keep our problem in proportion. I can't imagine how devastating it must be to have your house flooded.
I'm not wallowing in self-pity! I'm counting my blessing and going back downstairs to carry on putting up my Christmas decorations. ☺
Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
So sorry this happened to you. We just watched your easel flower card. Thank you for making that. We will now have another interesting different card to make for family and friends.
ReplyDeleteHi, Anonymous. Thank you. I'm pleased you like the easel card, it is certainly very popular. Happy crafting, JanB.
ReplyDeleteHi Jan, I'm so sorry about the burglary. Thank goodness you and hubby are OK, it must have been very scary. Thank you very much for doing the video on the tealight, now I understand perfectly how the pieces go together on the join! Now all I have to do is find the darn baubles! Thank you again and happy crafting. SueBee
ReplyDeleteHi, SueB. So glad you like the video. I hope you can find the baubles. How frustrating this will be if you can't get any! Good luck in your search. Happy crafting, JanB.
ReplyDeleteOh Jan, I am so sorry about the break in, but happy that it was an outer building where they didn't harm you or your husband. How frightfully horrible for you. I know you are thinking of people who have it much worse, but still, I know you mest be feeling pretty bad at the moment. Love your attitude. Take care - Julie
ReplyDeleteHi, Julie. Many thanks for your kind thoughts. I'm an optimist which really does help at times like this. It also helps with all the messages, emails and texts I've been receiving. Happy crafting, JanB ☺
