Hello, Crafters.
I hope you've had a great weekend.
One of the jobs I did this week was to sort out the box I keep on my desk that I put odd bits and pieces in when I'm creating.
I really don't feel it's that long ago when I last told you that, so I decided to set up an easy filing system that would help me avoid this..........hopefully!
I went through everything in the box and put them into piles.
The main pile was work in progress which I popped back into the box.
This left me with piles and piles of images, shapes and sentiments I'd made for various projects but didn't use!
I took an A5 ringbinder with plastic wallets out of the cupboard, went to collect the Sellotape and made a start.
I labelled each folder according to the contents, e.g. Sentiments, Christmas Sentiments, Baubles, Bows, Snowmen & Christmas Characters, plus another 18!
Now I just need to make sure I use them!
The next job I did was to finish the ten tags I received when I went to Natalie's craft day three weeks ago.
I decided I wasn't going to do any more stamping but just use what was in the new wallets.
I also used all the embellishments that I was given with the tags but not the plain white labels that were there for the sentiments.
What you see here are the results.
I've had some of the images for so long that the products have long since retired!
Photograph 1: Tag a). - everything is current and I added Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details in the centre of the sequins. Tag b). The sentiment is from one of the first stamp sets I bought when I joined Stampin' Up! I'd inked the image in Real Red Ink, cleaned it and re-stamped in Garden Green, then I punched the centre out using the Large Oval Punch and adhered it on top of the red image.
Photograph 2: Tags a & b). Everything is current.
Photograph 3: Tag a). I'd stamped the flowers and the ribbon from Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set when I was working on the wreath on the bannister card. Tag b). I did this Father Christmas when I was doing the starburst Christmas cards in August.
Photograph 4: Tag a). Almost as it should be, it's just missing the sentiment Ho. Ho. Ho. across the middle of the snowflake. I need to go back and find a suitable sentiment for this one! Tag b). The silver snowflake was one of the embellishments that came with the tags, everything else was in my stash.
Photograph 5: Tags a) & b). These two were made while I was at the craft day.
Today, I also made an order for a personalised card for my customer's grandson who'll be three on Christmas Eve - I'll share that with you after Christmas.
That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
