Hello Crafters.
What an amazing day hubby and I had yesterday!
We completed all the tasks I had set for us and managed to get to the restaurant for dinner on time, too!
We were half an hour later than planned leaving the house, as we had a call from the police Robbery & Burglary Unit.
They wanted to go through my statement with me and also to arrange when they could come over for me to sign it.
Once that was done, we were off!
Our first port of call was Tesco to do as much as the Christmas food shopping as possible.
When we arrived home, we unloaded the car and had everything packed away in double-quick time!
We had a quick bite to eat and then we were off to the physio for hubby's third session since his car accident.
On the way back home, we stopped at Waitrose to buy eight items that I only buy from Waitrose.
Then home again and we unpacked the car, put all the shopping away and were ready to start writing the Christmas cards.
This was all done except for five that couldn't be done for various reasons - I'll do those today.
Then hubby went online to do the remainder of the Christmas present shopping while I packed the grandchildren's stocking presents.
This left us just enough time to get ourselves ready and out to the restaurant - we arrived with three minutes to spare! Phew!!
It was go, go, go all day but so satisfying knowing that we only have a few bits and pieces left to do to be totally prepared for Christmas!
I had a visit from Hannah, from the police at 8.30 am this morning and have now signed my statement - another job to cross off the list.
Later this morning I have the surveyor from the insurance company's recommended garage door company coming round to give a quote on how much it will cost to repair the door/motor.
Needless to say, I didn't have time to do a project yesterday, so I'm sharing the second of three projects I made on Wednesday.
The decoration you see is not the planned decoration but just some flowers I had lying around to make the Berry Basket look finished!
I'm really very, very pleased to say I didn't have any problem with the card stock cracking like it did with the white gift bag I made last week.
Using the Corrugated Kraft Paper for this basket has made it so incredibly sturdy.
The decoration I've made for this basket is another Corrugated Paper item but it's white so I need to go back to the drawing board and come up with something that'll suit the Kraft.
I think that's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
