Bannister Wreath Video

Hello, Crafters.

I hope you're enjoying the weekend. Weather-wise it looks like we're in for more of the same, wind and rain - ideal crafting days!

I've just posted today's video Bannister Garland

This is one of the cards I made for my recent Wonderful Wreath challenge. I wasn't happy with the original colour scheme, Real Red, nor the bright yellow I had coloured the pearls. I'd used a Sharpie pen to do this.

For the video I used Cherry Cobbler for my colour scheme and used my light Daffodil Delight. Before I made the video, I re-made this card to see if I was happier with changing the colour and I definitely was!

I used unpainted pearls on this card but added the painted ones for the video. I've posted photographs of both versions here for you to judge for yourself.

Personally I like them both but seeing them side by side, I think the coloured pearls make the other card look a bit flat.

On the card for my blog - see last photograph, I'd added three flowers above the bannister. This was to hide a smudge I'd made. Unfortunately, it made that card look too crowded!

Late yesterday afternoon, hubby and I were working on my 120 swaps I'll be taking to Brussels with me on Thursday.

I'm going to the Stampin' Up! convention. This year it's the first of the new look conventions SU are organising called OnStage.

I have twelve cards ready, twenty eight cards that just need bows to be added and eighty approximately half way through the production line!

Once they're completed, I'm required to put a list of ingredients on the back, plus my contact details and then put them into cello bags.

So still quite a lot to do and this coming week is another working week, and a three day week, so no time to dally!

My top priorities today are to make two videos that I can post as normal on Wednesday and Sunday, as well as making a personalised card for a very good customer of mine.

Finally, just to let you know that I'm not planning to do a challenge this week, except to say that I'm hoping to be able to post a different card everyday - which I suppose is a challenge in itself!

Until tomorrow, enjoy the rest of the weekend and happy crafting.

JanB.
