Week 5 Callenge - Card No 2 and Butterfly Video

Hello, Crafters.

The theme for card number two is candles.

Although I have done this as a birthday card, it would look great in red, green and gold for a Christmas card.

The first card was made with retired Baja Breeze card stock - I've always liked this colour! - and the ink for the sentiment was Not Quite Navy, also retired.

The candle flames which are raised on Dimensionals, are in Daffodil Delight card stock and the centres are Tangerine Tango card stock.

I wrapped Linen Thread around the card before adhering it to the card base.

I decided the card looked too regimental, so for the Pool Party card I made the candles different heights and also raised them on Dimensionals.

I wrapped Pool Party Baker's Twine around the card before adhering it to the card base.

On this card, I also used my 3/4" circle punch, to make the top of the candle dipping as they do as they burn. The sentiment is from Birthday Blossoms.

Today I have also published a video showing, what is in effect, card number 6 for Week 4 Challenge - Butterflies.

When I made this card I thought it would be a good one for a video.

This is the link: Triple Layer Vellum Wings - Week 4 Card No. 6

The colours I used are Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder.

Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.
