Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday was certainly very hot, just as we had been promised. Today, is cloudy but still very warm. I wouldn't be surprised if we have a thunderstorm before the day is out!
Today's challenge card is no 3. I have used the same butterfly, die cut as the previous two cards. For this card, when I stamped the butterfly, I stamped two the same, so when the die-cut one is layered onto the solid butterfly, the inking should match. It doesn't match precisely but certainly close enough to give a terrific effect.
I started my card with a Whisper White Cardstock base and an Early Espresso layer. I stamped one of the stamps from the Bordering Blooms stamp set using black Memento Ink and coloured the flowers and leaves using a Blender Pen and Old Olive and Blushing Bride Ink.
This was then embossed using the Brick Wall Embossing Folder and adhered to card front. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. It was punched out with the Large Oval Punch and layered onto a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock that had been punched out with the Scalloped Oval Punch.
I'm also in the process of making 22 swaps for our team training at the weekend. As I'm working on Butterflies for my challenge, I'm following this through onto my swaps.
Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
