Masculine Owl Post It Note Holder Video

Hello, Crafters.

My Stampin' Up! pre-order arrived yesterday and I had
to play with the owl from the Still Night Stamp Set first!
As soon as I saw this stamp set in the catalogue, I
knew it'd be the top of my wish list!
My first thought was to make a masculine card but
something made me change my mind and make a Post-It
Note Pad Holder instead! In the new Christmas
Catalogue, there's a card sample which shows this
branch with small pine branches adhered to the branches.

It's a fabulous idea for a Christmas card, and Stampin'
Up! have very thoughtfully included four dies for the
branches in the co-ordinating die set called Night Owl
Thinlits. As I was totally focused on making a non-Christmas
masculine gift, I decided to use our Leaf Ribbon instead.
I also used another new product that will be in the
Christmas catalogue, and that is the Chicken Wire
Elements. The size on the packet states they are 3.75"
by 5 3/8" (9.5cm x 13.7cm), which is an ideal size for a card front.
The sheets arrive with a silver border around them which
could be left on if wanted. The size is then 4 1/8" x 5 7/8"
(10.4cm x 14.9cm?), which is a bit bigger than normal
for the UK, but is still do-able!
Still staying focussed on masculine, I chose the
WAKE UP. KICK BUTT. REPEAT. sentiment which is
from the Enjoy Life Stamp Set. Not really my idea of a
good sentiment but I think it'll be appreciated by men!
I hope you like this owl stamp as much as I do! ☺
That's about it from me today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

  1. Jan I love owls too - they are my favourite bird. I think this makes such a fabulous masculine post-it holder something that us crafters need to have for the men in our lives. TFS :O) xxx

    1. Hi, Lorraine. Yes, I know you love owls. I think you shared a photograph of you with one on your gloved-hand. They are beautiful birds. When I was thinking about doing something masculine, it occured to me that most teacher Thank You gifts are made with females in mind! So I came up with this design hoping that a man would be happy to have it sitting on his desk! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
