Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday we arrived in Seattle after a pleasant uneventful journey from the UK.
After waiting for a few others to arrive at the airport, we were all
transferred by coach to the hotel for our overnight stay
before boarding thee cruise ship.
After we had freshened up, we went for a walk in Seattle, down to the Pike Market.
As our body clocks weren't sure what day it was, we decided
we'd get a bite to eat, and found ourselves in Hard Rock cafe.
It has been quite a few years since we have eaten at Hard Rock,
and it was good to pay them a visit.
After that, we felt very comfortable and ready to go for a wander
around Pike Market, which was a very fascinating experience!
We wandered down Post Alley and came across this strange
little area where all the outside walls have been covered with bubble gum.
We had very mixed reactions - part admiring to multi coulored
walls, andpart thinking that it wasn't exactly a good idea!
Seattle is the home of Starbucks, and there was a long queue outside
the first shop which dates back to 1912.
It's museum inside today full of early memorabilia
I took the photograph below of the head office as we drove past in our coach.
about three hours sleep on the plane, we did a fair bit of walking before we had a very early night!
That's about it from me. I'll try and post my blog tomorrow from the ship!
In the meantime, happy crafting,
JanB.
