Graceful Glass - Birds

Hello, Crafters.

Today's the day the fabulous 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue goes LIVE!
If you live in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany France or Austria,
you can start ordering at noon CET/11am GMT. Our IT Team
need dedicated time to clear the old catalogues from the system,
and replace with the new catalogue.
I made this card before I went down to Cornwall and was hoping to
share it with you. Life had other plans for me, so I kept it safe until
today! The vellum sheet is one of the designs from the Graceful
Glass Designer Vellum Pack that's available from the new catalogue.
I think this product is going to prove to be very popular; this is my
second project and I can't wait to play with other designs in this pack.
As I don't like rainbow coloured cards, I used the same colours for
each bird, and as far as I can remember I used the following
Stampin' Blends:- Dark Daffodil Yellow, Dark Old Olive, Dark Cherry
Cobbler, Bermuda Bay (I'm not sure if it was Light or Dark, Light
Pumpkin Pie and Dark Calypso Coral.

I did find that the Colour Lifter worked perfectly on the vellum, I was
really impressed with how efficient it is! The sentiment is from a
 Beautiful Day Stamp Set.
To adhere the vellum layer to the Whisper White Cardstock I applied
tiny dots of Tombow behind each of the birds, a fair amount behind
the sentiment, and then more tiny dots in other places until I was
 happy that it was secured.
I thought the card looked rather bland so I added five adhesive
backed sequins around. I decorated the inside of the card with
one of the two strips I'd cut off the vellum sheet, which I coloured
using the same colours as the birds. I adhered the strip to the
top layer of Whisper White CS with more small dots of Tombow.

Starting today, I'm planning to cut down from posting to my blog
seven days a week to four days. The days I'll be posting are
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. I don't know if this
will work, or how long it'll work, but I'm going to give it a go. I'm
finding that as my business and my team grow, there seems to be
fewer and fewer hours in the day.
That's about it from me today. According to my new schedule, I'll
be back on Sunday! Until then, happy crafting.

JanB.
