Hello, Crafters.
Today is the day of the Stampin' Up! OnStage Convention. Most demonstrators travel the day before, especially Silver Elite and above as we're invited to go to CentreStage on Friday Evening. We had a great time kicking off the 2018 Stampin' Up! 30th Anniversary - I think that speaks volumes about what a brilliant and successful company SU is!
But the journey getting here was a nightmare for everyone I spoke to. My lady from Elgin in Scotland flew down and arrived on time. Fortunely, she'd sent me a text letting me know she had arrived and would wait in the same place she did last November! I'd forgotten I'd promised we'd collect her! But I was blessed that when I received that text we were approaching the airport! Without the text we would have bypassed it! We had left home at 11.30am and should have arrived at the hotel at 2pm but we were approach the airport at 3.30 and finally arrived at the hotel at 4 pm - 2 hours late.
Two more of my ladies came down from Scotland by train, and were delayed by more than a hour because there had been a bridge strike ahead of them. They arrived 1.5 later than they should have done. My lady from Cornawall was delayed by over an hour - no idea what that was all about! My last lady had a very pleasant journey by train - she lives in Coventry which is more or less next door.
I'm more excited about this onStage as I get to meet four more of the ladies inmy team - talk about feeling like Mother Hen! LOL! Have to dash, will be back tomorrow.
I hope you ave a great weekend. Happy crafting.
JanB.
