Stampin' Up! have annoumnced a special promotion for the month of May.
There is going to be a pre-release of the forthcoming Share What
You Love Suite, which will be available in the new Annual Catalogue
when it goes live on 1st. June 2018. I'm really pleased that
SU have chosen this Suite for the pre-release because I know it's
going to be an easy suite to work with. ☺
Today's card has been made with products that will be available
during the pre-release! The colours I have used for the two
inks are two of the new 2018 - 202 InColours: Lovely Lipstick
(dark pink) and Call Me Clover (green). This is my spin
on a card Stampin' Up! have produced to go with the early release.
I stamped the sentiment using me Call Me Clover Ink and die
cut it using the no. 3 Stitched Shape Framelits circle die. When
I was happy this was the right size, I drew a pencil circle on the
Whisper White Cardstock (CS) layer so I knew the
positioning of the stamp/flowers.
I stamped five sets of flowers at different angles to achieve a
bouquet-looking effect, and coloured the centres of the flowers
with the two different sized infill stamps, stamping off once each time.
Next I stamped some leafy fronds in Call Me Clover, again
stamping off once so the colour wasn't too dark.
I fussy cut four flowers from a sheet I'd stamped but wasn't happy
with - it happens! ☺ - and adhered one to the bottom of the sentiment.
I added a small Basic Rhieston on the base of each flower to add a
bit of sparkle to my card.
I added a layer of Lovely Lipstick CS and a layer of Whisper White
CS inside the card. Finally, I decorated the bottom right-hand
corner with the other three flowers I'd fussy cut.
