Don't forget, today's the day there are extra Sale-a-bration gifts available for qualifying orders, and they are products that are available in the current catalogues.
Please remember to use the codes on the flyer, not the codes in the catalogues, or the system will charge for the products!!
I have CASE'd today's card from a lady in my team of Super Stars, Karen James.
It was the first time EVER I've seen a card that has used the stained glass technique, where it actually looks like stained glass!
As always, it's very difficult to photograph a card in all it's glory, that has had the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen used on it, but I hope you can pick it up in these photographs.
You really need to see this card in real life to get the true beauty of it.
This is definitely going to be a video!
Karen also used the flower stamp in the Beautiful Day Stamp Set, and that looked equally as stunning!
I've only used one of the sentiments in this stamp set so far, and it's definitely one of my favourites!
It reads "Happy Birthday, May your day be as beautiful as you" - how nice is that?
I used Sahara Sand, stamped off once, randomly aound the top layer before deciding on the positioning of my butterfly.
Because I'd stamped the sentiment so high, I would have had to put the ribbon quite a bit higher, and the only way I could think of adhering it lower was if I used a second piece of ribbon under the sentiment.
I didn't like that idea as two strips of blue that are 3/8" wide looked just too heavy.
I think with a thin strip of cardstock above and below the sentiment makes it look as if it's on a separate strip of Whisper White CS and layered onto a piece of Dapper Denim CS.
I'd like to say a big thank you to Karen for letting me CASE her card.
She'd make a great teacher, and yes, I have told her! ☺
This isn't the first time I've CASE'd Karen's projects, and it's unlikely to be the last either!!

Absolutely EXQUISITE, yes! So glad that you plan to do a video on this, Jan. The camera really does fall short of the real thing, but I think those of us who understand and deal with all the time, can "see" enough to truly appreciate the beauty of this just fine. TFS and for Karen's blessings to do so!
ReplyDeleteHi, Geraldine. I'm so pleased you like this, too. It's a plain card, with a massive WOW because of the stained glass look! I went over the wings again this morning and it's even better now! ☺ Happy crafting. JanB.
