WAHOO! Sale-a-bration has begun!
If you haven't already checked out the gifts in the Sale-a-bration (SAB) Catalogue, you really must do, especially the pandas and the peacock!

Earlier this morning I uploaded my latest video where I show how I made the Petal Palette card I shared on Sunday.
I had so much fun playing with this card before I made the video, although this technique has raised more questions for me than provided answers!
One of the things I tried yesterday was painting over the entire layer of the Petal Passion Desgner Series Paper (DSP), rather than just the white areas, which is the way I did it on the first card.
The question that does remain is, how much ink does this technique actually use?
I also wondered if it's possible to paint the designs that have a white, rather than a black, background? And if it is possible, would it use even more ink?
The answer to the first question is definitely yes you can paint the DSP designs that have a white background, and it certainly looks fabulous on the design I chose to paint.
I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the bird using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Again, with the help of my Stamp-a-ma-jig, I stamped the branch so the bird was sitting on it.
I coloured the images in, and die cut it using one of the square Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, which I adhered over the original stamping using Tombow!
I hope you give this technique a try - it really is fun! Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

Love them ALL, Jan ... and the one where you've used the white background to colour over, fabulous!! LOVE this entire suite! And BTW, you won't be using anymore of your Blend on the lighter background ... same dimensions so you're covering the same amount of paper. I love it too!! Well done!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Geraldine. That's what I thought, it just looks like it's using more because you can actually see it! LOL! There are so many different ways you can paint the DSP e.g. the one with dots or small flowers, just paint some randomly, or different colours! It's so versatile. I love it! Happy crafting. JanB.
