Unfortunately, my video featuring Stampin' Spots won't be ready for posting on tomorrow as I'd hoped!
Although I'm pleased with how it's developing, I don't have time to fine tune it without cutting corners....and that's not me!
Yesterday, I had a play with the three step stamping stamp set called Amazing Congratulations that's in the new Spring/Summer catalogue (page 51).
My first three attempts at choosing a suitable colour combo were disappointing, and this was mainly because I was putting a colour that was too dark for the light colour I was using - Fresh Fig and Blushing Bride.
I wanted to use a dark colour (Basic Grey) for the outline stamp, but found the lighter colour (Smokey Slate) was better.
My final colours are Smokey Slate, Blushing Bride and Wisteria Wonder, and I think they have all gone together brilliantly .
I started my card with a base of Smokey Slate Cardstock (CS), a layer of Very Vanilla CS, and a top layer of Bundle of Love Specialty DSP.
I took a two inch strip of Very Vanilla CS which was the width of the card base, and stamped the outline stamp using Smokey Slate Ink.
I also made sure my clear block was parallel to one of the lines on my Grid Paper making sure it was straight.
This is one of the stamp sets that's going to come into its own with the Stamparatus.
(Please don't forget that tomorrow morning the Pre-order Offer for the Stamparatus will close at 7:50 CET/6:50 a.m. GMT).
The next stamp I used was the one that starts with the letter c and ends with the letter s, and I laid it down on the outline I'd already stamped.
For the second stamp I used Wisteria Wonder, and Blushing Bride for the third Stamp.
I layered this onto a strip of Smokey Slate CS, and adhered it to the front of the card using Dimensionals.
To finish the front of the card, I adhered three of the Petal Passion Embellishments available in the new catalogue (page 23). I used Tombow to adhere them, but you could use Dimensionals or Glue Dots - I prefer mine not to move!
The last three photographs show two attempts I didn't like, but didn't get thrown in the bin!
I hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
