Earlier this morning I posted my video showing how I made my grandson's wiper card for his birthday last week.
Wiper cards are by no stretch of the imagination a new style of card.
When I checked YouTube to find out exactly how wiper cards are made, the oldest video I found was dated 2008!
I chose to use the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper (DSP) because it's such a "happy" deign for birthdays.
I did play with the idea of making my card a double wiper where there was one wiper at the top and one at the bottom.
During my search on YouTube, I did see a video of a double wiper with both wipers at the top.
They didn't seem to work as slickly as the single wiper does, because they kept touching each other.
It's a great idea and I'm sure it would work if the card was longer, or the wipers were shorter.
This wiper card is very much outside my comfort zone in as much as it has so many colours in it.
I wish you a happy Sunday, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
VERY cute card, Jan! Great DSP helps for sure! I'm sure your grandson will be delighted with his card, and hope he has a very Happy Birthday!! What a fortunate young lad to have such a talented Grandmother to make him such wonderful handmade cards! TFS with the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteHi, Geraldine. It's so easy to make, too! It is such a pleasure making cards for my grandchildren, becuase they are always ecited to open their cards to see what kind of a "different" card they'll receive on this birthday! Happy crafting, JanB.
