Christmas Catalogue

Hello, Crafters.

Today's the day Stampin' Up! demonstrators can begin ordering from the new Christmas catalogue! 

Wherever you are, if you listen very carefully, you may hear my bank account groaning!

It's beginning to be a regular event from SU that they pre-release an item from a forthcoming catalogue a month early, and the Christmas catalogue is no exception!


As from today, customers can order the Carols of Christmas Bundle, which comprises of the Carols of Christmas wood or clear mount stamp set and the Card Front Builder Thinlits.

These products are part of the Merry Little Christmas Suite.

By buying these two products as a bundle there's a saving of 10%, which means the bundle costs €63/£46.75 for wood mount, and €54/£40.50 for clear mount. 

Please check the prices with your SU demonstrator if you're not part of the European market.

I have posted a photograph of the stamp set with the dies below, as well as a photograph that shows actual die cuts.

The cards I'm sharing with you today are the Make'n'Takes we made when we were in Thailand - using new products!

Photographs 1 - 2: this card uses products from the fabulous new Year of Cheer Suite. 

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is called Year of Cheer Specialty DSP, and is really gorgeous. 

The photograph doesn't really do justice to the sheet of DSP that's been used for the background. 

It's Copper and Silver Foil on white. I suspect this may be the colour of the new Champagne Foil that's available in the New catalogue.
 
The two stamps used for the sentiment are from the Cheers to the Year Stamp Set. 

Behind the sentiment you can see a stunning Silver Foil Snowflake. 

These come in a packet of twenty four - twelve in gold and twelve in silver. They are stunning!

Photographs 3 - 6: these three cards are the same design and feature three of the patterns in the Painted Autumn DSP.

This set includes some designs which are generic and can be used at other times of the year, not just autumn. 
 
Note the Vellum leaves showing from behind the left hand side of the sentiment. 

This was created using the new Leaf Punch!

Photograph 7: These tags were made using the Merry Little Christmas DSP and the Merry Music Specialty DSP.

The sentiments on the tags have been punched out using the new Everyday Label Punch.

The black and white strip is a piece of the new 7/8" Striped Ribbon which has a black strip running down both sides of the length of the ribbon. 

We cut the side stripes off for this project. 

The holly leaves were punched out using the Holly Berry Builder Punch that's in the annual catalogue - brought forward from last year.

The cards in photographs 3 - 6 above were actually made by hubby - his first attempt at cardmaking. 

I was just needed to adhere everything together.


On the Friday we were in Thailand, we went back into the Make'n'Take room as I wanted to see the swap boards which were ready to be seen.

I was chatting with Laura about the Make'nTakes, and told her how disappointed hubby was on Tuesday because he didn't want to follow the script for the projects.

I said he had to, otherwise we might run out of items needed to complete all the projects!

Laura gave hubby a kit and he sat down to create his own card while I went round checking out the swap boards!

Photographs 8 - 9: This is hubby's creation!

He's really pleased with it except he says the flower should have been more in the centre!

Given that this was just the fourth card he's made, I think he did an amazing job!

Hubby wanted to wrap the Baker's Twine all around the card.

The problem was that it's a single layer card, so I cut a slit down the fold of the card.

I wrapped the twine around until I was told to stop.

Obviously this means it's visible from the inside, but that's OK!
