Bella Centre Stepper Card Video

Hello, Crafters.

Just one day left before the new 2017 Annual Catalogue goes live!

It also means that today is the last day to take advantage of the Retiring Retiring List and also the Eastern Palace Bundle offer.

Please click this link to check out the Retiring Products and the Eastern Palace Suite Offer. Earlier this morning I posted my Bella Centre Stepper Card Video, which is the second of five consecutive Wednesday's where I'm sharing fancy fold card ideas.

For today's stepper card, I added a tab inside the card to stop it doing the splits when it's standing on the shelf.

The downside of doing this is it means sentiments can't be written inside the card.

During the video I said adhere the tab using SNAIL. This is incorrect! I should have said use Fast Fuse, which was designed to adhere cardstock to cardstock.

I used SNAIL and it keeps coming unstuck, and have redone my tabs using Fast Fuse.

If you don't want to add the sentiment to the back of the card, you just need to leave the tab out.

I also considered adding an extra layer of Whisper White cardstock for the sentiment on the back.

I decided against it as I felt it would be too stark unless Bella was stamped and painted on the Whisper White layer.

In the video I showed three different cards all in the same style, but using three of the new 2017 - 2019 InColours.

I also changed the shape or size of the images.

Photographs 1, 4 & 7: Berry Burst with the Bella & Friends Stamp Set. This is the card I made in the video. I used the Stitched Shape Framelits square die no. 3 and the Layering Squares Framelit scallop die no. 7.
I used the Touches of Texture Stamp Set for the background behind Bella. I stamped it using Sahara Sand Ink stamped off once.

Photographs 2, 5 & 8: Fresh Fig with the Pretty Kitty Stamp Set. I used the Stitched Shape Framelits circle die no. 2 and the Layering Circles Framelit die no. 4. Like the Berry Burst card, I used the Touches of Texture Stamp Set for the background behind Kitty. I stamped it using Sahara Sand Ink stamped off once.

Photographs 3 & 6: Lemon Lime Twist with the Bella & Friends Stamp Set. I used the Stitched Shape Framelits circle die no. 3 and the Layering Circles Framelit die no. 6.
I used the Timeless Textures Stamp Set for the background behind Bella, but wasn't too happy with it so changed to the Touches Textures Stamp Set for the second and third cards - much happier! I stamped it using Sahara Sand Ink stamped off once.

I used the new 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon which is available in all five of the new inColurs. The patterned paper is from Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack. Like the ribbon, this is also available in all five new InColours.

The four designs can be seen in these three cards and are four of the designs in the Floral Boutique that we've enjoyed for the last year in Night of Navy and Whisper White.

The sentiment is from Big on Birthdays stamp Set which is being carried forward to the new catalogue.

During the video, i went out of shot with the top of my trimmer.

Fortunately, I showed enough and explained enough to enable you to make a stepper card without problem.

That's about it for today, and I hope you give this project a go! Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.

  1. What a sweet card project ... love them all, and will definitely be trying my hand at this one, likely with "Pretty Kitty" ... they're all just adorable. And aren't these new InColour just the best! All 5 of them! Looking forward to trying this one too Jan. TFS!

    1. Hi, Geraldine. I guessed Kitty would be your favourite! I do, too, and I'm surprised at how much I like the Lemon Lime Twist! ☺ Happy crafting. JanB.
