Hello, Crafters.Yesterday I made my video showing how to spritz Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper to change the colour and I have to say it's one of my favourite videos.
Before I made this video, I made a second card using the same technique, which is something I always do.
It's a bit like doing revision before an exam but much more fun!
Crumb Cake
- this is the card I made during the video.I hadn't planned for the Crumb Cake flowers but when I had completed the card, I said I felt it was rather pale and needed something.
I promised I'd add the flowers
after I'd finished the video and post photographs here on my blog today. If you watch the video, please let me know if you agree that this card needed these flowers.
I used the half inch circle punch to round odd the ends of the Congratulations.
Real Red
- this is the spritzer I made on the video. Spritzing is very much like
the bleaching technique in as much as you don't really know what colour
you're going to get. To a certain extent, I think the Real Red Glimmer Paper actually looks a bit pink.
I'm surprised it blends in so well with the Real Red Cardstock, Ink, and Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack!
I used the three quarter inch circle punch to round the ends of the Happy Birthday!
I think I need to play with this punch technique!
Island Indigo - this is the card I made before I made the video and I was exceptionally pleased with how it turned out.
The blue Glimmer Paper would be ideal for a new baby boy card.
In fact, this card would make a great new baby card - it just needs a change of sentiment!
Pink Pirouette
- this is the card I shared yesterday morning.I thought it was going to be my favourite out of all four cards but it isn't - I love them all!
I shall definitely be ordering more Spritzer bttles soon, so I can play with other colours.
I use rubbing alcohol to make my spritzers because the cardstock dries quicker, but it does have a smell and I don't think it should be used in a confined space!
It doesn't have a warning on the bottle but it's definitely one of those smells.
Another
good aspect of todays video is that I was able to use the spray
catcher I shared here on my blog on 7th. March 2017.Before I started the video, I tried moving the camera so I could get it on the screen, but it was just too big!
I think that’s about it for today.

Wonderful video tutorial, as always, Jan. It strike me that this spritzing would be wonderful to doing Christmas cards also. I do think I like the addition of the little flowers on the Crumb Cake version, although in the video, it looked lovely as it was ... loved the hint shared for rounding your corners on the sentiments also. Lots of good show & share on this video and thank you so much!!

Deletei like all the colors but my favorite is the one you made on the video. i will have to get some reinkers to do this technique as i only have black. :( the background paper is gorgeous too. cheers
