Hello, Crafters.
I
know I said on Monday that I was going to cut down the amount of times I
post my blog, but you may have noticed I can't keep away! LOL!
I
enjoy writing my blog and it's become so much a part of my life, I'm
finding it difficult to cut down. So all the time I can continue to
write without pressure, I will do.
I found this trail of Sweet Sugarplum
Dragonflies in my Ziplock bag yesterday morning and decided I'd use them
for today's card. They had been die cut using the Detailed Dragonfly
Thinlits Dies.
I
started my card with a base of Whisper White Cardstock (CS), then a
layer of Sweet Sugarplum CS and a top layer of of one the designs
from the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP).
I adhered the
three layers together. I
used the Sale-a-bration (SAB) stamp set called Any Occasion to stamp
the banner using Sweet Sugarplum Ink on a piece of Whisper White CS.
The banner
was made up of four stamps i.e. the string, the THANK YOU banner, the
bow and the tassles. I layered this onto a piece of Sweet Sugarplum CS
and adhered totwards the top of the card.
Again, using Tombow, I adhered
the trail of dragonflies below the banner.
Inside
the card, I adhered a layer of Sweet Sugarplum CS and then a layer of
Whisper White CS. I made another THANK YOU banner the same as the one of
the front of the card. The only differences were that I made this one
to fit from side to side, and I didn't add the Basic Rhinestones.
My
final touches were to add two Basic Rhinestones to the bows on the
banner and three Basic Pearls on each of the dragonfly bodies.
As I said, a clean and simple card for today. I hope you have a great weekend, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
I am so delighted you have found time to blog. I read your blog everyday and love your cards. I really enjoy your videos.

DeleteA nice simple card. I sometimes go through my saved die cuts or backgrounds and use them. It is fun to see how I can create.
ReplyDeleteHi, Ina. I was pleased when I saw the trail of dragonflies! There's one of the big dragonflies in the bag as well! I'll do something with that next week! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
DeleteLove this card! The DSP is perfect for this! TFS!
ReplyDeleteHi, Cherie. Yes, I like this DSP, too! It's light but still has several colours in it! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
