Bleaching the Dancer

Hello, Crafters.

I hope you've had a great weekend.

Today I'm sharing one of the two other Beautiful You cards I made when I was working on the bleaching technique last week.

The background for the dancer is Elegant Eggplant Cardstock (CS) and like the other two colours - Perfect Plum amd Rich Razzleberry - the image developed into Blushing Bride.

I heat embossed the image using black embossing powder.

This time I painted over the whole image using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.

The sentiment, which is from the Helping Me Grow Stamp Set, also developed to the same colour when I painted the letters with the bleach.

I started my card with a base of Sweet Sugarplum CS, with a layer of Elegant Eggplant CS and a top layer of one of the designs from the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper (DSP).

The colour combo on this DSP is absolutely spot on for the cardstock, the card base and the dancer.

I'd like to say I planned it like this but I didn't! I was just very lucky! LOL!

I die cut the image with a straight cut Layering Squares Framlet Dies and layered it onto another piece of Elegant Eggplant CS which I'd die cut with the next size of scalloped square Layering Squares Framelits Dies.

Then I die cut two Sweet Sugarplum CS squares using the same two dies, and then adhered the two die cuts together.

Then I adhered them onto the card base tilted at angles.

I layered the sentiment onto a piece of Sweet Sugarplum CS and adhered it to the card front.

Without a doubt, the Sweet Sugarplum is my favourite of the 2016 - 2018 InColours - I love it!

To finish my card I took a sheet of Blushing Bride CS and heat embossed about two thirds of the dancer towards the bottom right hand corner.

I painted the image with the bleach and the colour developed into Very Vanilla with a hint of Blushing Bride.

I finished the image off by painting with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.

To complete my card I adhered a layer of Elegant Eggplant CS to the inside of the card, and then adhered the sheet of Blushing Bride.

That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.
