Hello, Crafters.
I had two classes this weekend and I featured the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and the Up & Away
Framelits Dies.
As always in my classes, we made two greeting cards
and a 3D project, which will be featured in Wednesday's video.
The 3D
we made in class was decorated with a balloon but I haven't yet decided
what design I'll use for the video!
The
two greeting cards we made were totally opposite each other in design.
The first card, the single balloon, demonstrated how easy it is to make a great card using just one
stamp and one die from the bundle.
The second card demonstrated how
easy it is to combine different stamp and dies from this bundle with other stamp
sets.
The
first card we made was this single card which is more or less identical
to yesterday's video.
The main difference is that the for the class
card we replaced the hot air balloon that we die cut back into position.
I had made two samples, one where I had sponged the edge around the
balloon in Island Indigo Ink, and the second card I left the balloon
"clean" - attendees were allowed to choose which one they preferred.
The
Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from Bloom & Bliss DSP.
The second card used five stamp sets:-
1). Soft Sky "watercolour" background - Perpetual Birthday Calendar
2). Sahara Sand - mesh effect - Timeless Textures
3). Sahara Sand - seagulls - High Tide
4). Dapper Denim - sentiment - Build a Birthday
5). Smokey Slate - clouds - Lift Me Up
5). Real Red on Crumb Cake Cardstock (CS) - large hot air balloon - Lift Me Up
5). Dapper Denim on Crumb Cake CS - small hot air balloon - Lift Me Up
This card was inspired by a card I saw in the Spring catalogue.
It's not my normal style but it just really caught my eye.
I really must try and leave this stamp set alone, now! LOL! I have several stamp sets I still haven't opened!
That's it for today. I'm seeing my accountant this afternoon, so hopefully I can stop fretting about last year's tax return! LOL!!
Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
