Easel Wedding Card Video

Hello, Crafters.

Every time I make an easel card after having had a break from making them, I always make the same mistake!

That is, I forget the third layer on the stand up part of the easel, and with all the cardstock needed for an easel card, it's quite a costly mistake to make!

This morning, I uploaded my Easel Wedding Card video, in which I used two of our fabulous new die sets.

They are So Detailed and Stylish Stems. The dies for the flowers in Stylish Stems are just so versatile.

The first way they can be used is as dies to cut the flower in a layer so it can be backed with coloured cardstock, Designer Series Paper or Glimmer Paper.

The second way is to die cut it as a "lacy" flower to be layered on top of the stamped flowers - as I have done in the video.

I painted the stamped flowers with Wink Of Stella and then put the "lacy" flowers on top. This really broke the Wink of Stella up beautifully and makes the flowers look stunning.

I have a couple more ideas how I want to use the flowers on other projects. Now that you can see today's cards, you can see where the idea from yesterday's card came from! Or maybe not! LOL!

I also wanted to share a couple of photographs from Sharon's Beauty Salon Matis display. (This is the video I made showing how I made these boxes:

https://youtu.be/dG9DY-5xQ6w. The first photograph is with the glass door closed.

The colour scheme in the salon is lilac so the Elegant Eggplant boxes look really striking against the lilac walls. I love how Sharon has put the one bottle of yellow in the middle to make the display pop! I'm not sure who's most excited about this display - Sharon or me.

I'm off to Natalie's training today but I haven't had time to do any swaps, which is always my favourite part of any Stampin' Up! get-together! Never mind, there's always next time!

Until tomorrow, happy Sunday and happy crafting.

  1. First off, Sharon's bottle boxes that you made, look very striking indeed! Now the card! Amazing! Absolutely stunning! Love the easel card, love the colours, the papers, the dies ... embellishments and you've done a brilliant job of the tutorial, as always. Would love to try this one myself, for sure! Thank you so much!!
