Premier Inn

Hello, Crafters.

I can't believe what a superb journey we had coming up to Telford yesterday! We left home forty-five minutes later than planned, but it didn't matter because time was our own. A couple of miles down the road there had been a road traffic accident and the hold up was causing a massive tailback. Fortunately for us, it was on the other side of the road! I'm pleased to say it didn't look too serious! The journey up here took us just under three hours. When we did this same journey in April, it took just over six wet, miserable hours!

Most of yesterday's journey was on various motorways, and more or less uneventful, thank goodness! When we arrived at the hotel, we were checked in by a very bright, friendly young lady. Our double room is very basic and quite small, but it's clean, modern and functional. After having recently lived without running water for six days, we'll be happy here!

Our first task was to unpack and get everything organised. The next priority was to boot up my laptop and make sure the wi-fi was working! Absolutely no problems. Next it was time to relax and pay attention to the rumblings that were coming from our tummies! There's a Beefeater Restaurant attached to the hotel so we went for a late lunch/early dinner. Hubby had a superb rare steak and I had a succulent chicken escalope.

While we were eating, it suddenly dawned on me that I hadn't made a card to share with you today. When we had finished our meal, I collected my camera and took the photographs you see here!

Photographs 1 - 3: is Telford Central Railway Station which is literally just over the road from the Beefeater restaurant.  You can see where the buses stop and also where the taxis wait.

Photograph 4: is the Beefeater Restaurant

Photograph 5: is the Premier Inn, with hubby standing by the entrance!

Photograph 6: is where the restaurant and hotel are linked together.

This morning, we're off to the Hobbycraft Show at the NEC in Birmingham. This is about 40 miles away from here and should take about 45 minutes to drive there. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator there are very few non-SU products I buy. Today I'm on the look-out for googly eyes of varying sizes, a Teflon bone folder that has been recommended to me by one of my YouTube subscribers, and to see what's new on the market!

That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.

  1. Such fun to see all the photographs of where you are and hear the goings on. Hope you don't pass out from the shock of the price of your Teflon bone-folder. Take a deep breath and just go for it! I absolutely love mine. Leaves no shiny marks on the surfaces of your card stock or paper! Have a super time in Telford!!

    1. Hi, Geraldine. I didn't find a teflon bone folder. Surely they must leave pressure marks, don't they? ☺ happy crafting, JanB.

    1. Hi, Kaye. I had a rare non-SU day today, but it was brilliant! Read all about it tomorrow. The Convention starts at 8.30 am so I have an early start in the morning. I hope you have a great weekend, too! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
