Hubby's Birthday Cards

 Hello, Crafters.

Unsurprisingly, I didn't have time to make a birthday card before we went away - she hangs head in shame!

I don't know if you've seen these before, but when we were at the Hobbycraft Show last Friday, I saw these chocolate birthday cards!

In the absence of a handmade card, this must be second best!

I managed to hold hubby off eating it until we'd arrived home and I'd had a chance to photograph it!

Hubby also received a handmade card from my team member Audrey Shaw, who travelled all the way down from Scotland for OnStage and one from demo friend Rebecca Willmore, who always makes amazing swaps for OnStage.

Photograph 1: the chocolate birthday card front

Photograph 2: the chocolate inside plus the sentiment

Photographs 3 - 5: this is Audrey's card.

The card base, Tempting Turquoise layer and the blue & white spotted layers aren't Stampin' Up! products.

Audrey used triple stamping for the teddy which is from the Baby Bear Stamp Set.

I'm guessing the three colours used but they look like Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point (maybe Dapper Denim!) and either Emerald Envy or Bermuda Bay stamped off once!

I think the sentiment is from the Sweet Cupcake Stamp Set and stamped in Emerald Envy.........I think!

The teddy and the sentiment were stamped on Whisper White Cardstock.

The sentiment was punched out using the sadly now retired Word Window Punch.

Audrey lined the inside of the card with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that she had rounded the corners.

She stamped the sentiment and then did two triple stamped bows as well.

Photographs  6 - 8: this is Rebecca's card.

The card base is Basic Black Cardstock with a layer of Whisper White.

The small heart has been punched using one of our retired star punches but I cannot see what Rebecca used for the large star!

It's not from the Stars Framelits nor the Mini Treat Bag.

If you're reading this Rebecca, help, I give up! (LOL).

Rebecca has used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set for the background behind the stars and the sentiment.

They have all been heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.

The stars have been punched out from our Gold Glimmer Paper, and a Basic Black design from the Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack.

Rebecca has also used some gold foiled vellum which may be from last Christmas.

I'm not sure which stamp set the sentiment came from but it has been stamped using our Archival Basic Black Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock.

The top and bottom of the circle have been decorated using the Confetti Stars Border
Punch.

It has been punched out with the 1.5 inch circle punch and layered onto a 1.75 inch punched circle of Gold Glimmer Paper.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing these two creations. If you have any questions about either of them, please ask and I'll find out the answer for you!

Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.

Footnote from Rebecca: Both small and large stars are old punches. Happy Birthday is from current Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set. Hope that helps. ☺
