Organising My Cardstock - A4 Size

Hello, Crafters.

I frequently get asked about sharing how I organise my studio! 

I've decided to share the details here on my blog rather than making a video - it's easier this way! LOL!

Today, I'm sharing how I store my A4 cardstock.

Photographs 1 - 2: I purchased a small trolley from a stationery company that was designed to provide a small filing unit to be used next to a desk.

It holds enough suspension files that allow me one file for each of our A4 standard colours, ten In-Colours, Whisper White Thick Cardstock and Shimmery White Cardstock.  

I keep them all filed in alphabetical order.

As soon as a set of In-Colours retire, I remove what's left of them from the trolley so I have room for the five new In-Colours. 

I try using soon-to-be retired colours in the last couple of months of their lifespan, which means I don't normally have too much leftover.

What leftovers I do have, I use for future test projects, unless asked if I have any retired colours for sale - which I'm happy to do.

Photograph 3: Inside each suspension file there is a plastic wallet that holds full sheets. 

Occasionally I go through all the wallets to topping them back up to ten sheets!

Photograph 4: There is also a plastic wallet in each suspension file for all my offcuts in that particular colour. 

The wallet originally had a line of punched holes down the side so it could be filed in a ring binder or a lever arch file. 

I cut the line off taking care not to damage the actual wallet!

Photograph 5: I also have a Ziploc bag in each suspension file for any bits and pieces that I've punched, stamped or die cut for a project but never used. 
 
I frequently find inspiration and ideas when I go to a colour wallet and see something in the Ziploc bag! 

Photograph 6: Some colours also have very small sealable plastic bags that hold small stamped and/or punched, or die cut flowers, anything small. 

There may also be a small bag that contains die cut letters or numbers, or hearts or stars that are from having used my Confetti Heart Punch or Stars Confetti Punch. 

I save these for my shaker cards.

Photograph 7: These are all the contents of my suspension file for Bermuda Bay. 

Occasionally I find that I have something in Ziploc or smaller bags that have been created using a product that has since retired.

I don't dispose of these as I may use them for my personalised cards but I do have to be careful how and where I use them!
 
I also have a supply of extra A4 sheets in all the colours, so it's easy to go through all the folders occasionally and top the whole sheets up to ten in each folder!
