Hello, Crafters.
When I woke up this morning the sun was shining and I felt that I was still in Barcelona!
After we arrived home yesterday, we did all the unpacking and all the washing before having a lovely early night.
Hubby and I loved Barcelona and would definitely recommend visiting there.
We were warned before we went, and again when we were there, that Barcelona is the pickpocket centre of the world.
We took the same precautions we always take when we're out and about, including here in the UK, but didn't feel that we were at any greater risk than anywhere else in the world. Was the warning being overly harsh on Barcelona? I don't know.
The one piece of advice I would give is to book tickets before you visit certain attractions - this definitely applies to Park Guell, Sagrada Familia and the cable car at the harbour.
This will save you from long queue times!
This morning I uploaded my video Birdhouse Box.
It was inspired by the swap I received from Julia Batten at the OnStage Local Convention in Telford last month.
Please check out Julia's blog at https://stampandcreatewithjulia.blogspot.co.uk.
Julia designed this box herself and was happy for me to make a video showing how it was made.
I'm extremely lucky because the size of the finished box fits some small gifts I'll be giving out soon.
Please note that the Bird Builder Punch will be retiring at the end of this month and is only available while stocks last!
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments (Wishes) which is being carried forward into the new catalogue.
This stamp set consists of twenty four stamps and covers just about every event imaginable, I think!
The other item that's retiring from this project is the Word Window Punch - this is the punch that first attracted me to Stampin' Up!
I have shown the actual birdhouse swap I received from Julia in my video.
The main difference between our two boxes is that Julia "tiled" the roof of her birdhouse by using a design from the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack which is featured in the current annual catalogue.
I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Julia for sharing this fabulous idea.
I wish you a very happy Sunday and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
