Hello, Crafters.
Today's wedding card is really 3D and it would need to have a box made for it to go in.
To make this card I started with a base of Whisper White with a layer of Tip Top Taupe (TTT) and a top layer of Whisper White.
I adhered the top two layers together, using Tombow and tied a piece of the TTT 1" Dotted Lace Trim around it. I moved it down towards the bottom and left a quarter inch gap. Then I adhered this to the card base using Tombow.
I stamped three of the large outline flowers from the Bloomin' Love Stamp set onto TTT Cardstock using TTT Ink and then I stamped three of the small outline flowers onto Whisper White Cardstock also using TTT Ink.
I die cut the six flowers using the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Dies and also one of the heart using TTT Cardstock. As these are very intricate dies, I used my Sizzix Die Brush to remove all the bits from the die.
At the moment, the stamp set and dies are available in the current Spring catalogue as a bundle - this means you save 15% of the price if you were to buy the products separately.
I painted all over the heart and the 2015-2017 In-Colour Blossom Accents using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. Then I used my Two-way Glue Pen to paint the back of the heart and then adhere it to my card base.
I layered one large and one small flower together using Tombow and adhered to the card using Dimensionals, and added a large pearl to the centre of each. Again, using Tombow, I adhered the Blossom Accents to the hearts.
I used small Glue Dots which I rolled into small balls and attached one large pearl to each of these.
There were eight tiny holes spread over the heart, so I put one tiny pearl on each of these!
For the sentiment, I chose Wedding Wishes which is from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set.
Using TTT Ink, I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and very quickly dunked it into my plastic box of Clear Embossing Powder. I then heat set using my Heat Tool.
I punched the sentiment out using the Extra Large Oval Punch and layered it onto a piece of TTT Cardstock that I'd punch out using the Scallop Oval Punch. I attached it to the card using Dimensionals.
That's about it for today, so until tomorrow, happy crafting.

a beautiful card Jan. i'd love to know how you made the tiny flowers look so gorgeous. it looks like you shaped the petals. cheers.
ReplyDeleteHi, Pearl. I'm pleased you like this card. The three cardstock flowers - the ones with the white centres - I put in the palm of my hand and press down in the centre with the rounded end of my paper piercer. Most poeple use their piercing mat rather than their hands! The four other flowers are little plastic Stampin' Up! flowers called Blossom Accents. I'm planning a video showing how I made this card. ☺ Happy crafting. JanB.
