Lacy Double Berry Basket Video

Hello, Crafters.

Happy Sunday.

This morning I posted my video called Lacy Double Berry Basket to YouTube.

Despite making all the flowers and gathering the Lace Trim before hand, the video still took 50 minutes.

Having said that, it is quite a big project and well worth the time and effort that goes into making it!

I first made the Sahara Sand Basket and used SNAIL to adhere the Lace Trim.

Unfortunately, parts of the lace kept becoming detached, so I needed to find something stronger.

Next I tried Tear & Tape and I found I had the same problem.

Finally I sewed some thread through the top of the Dotted Lace Trim just under the top "railway track" looking strip.

I inserted my needle every two or three holes to keep the stitches short.

It required a lot of patience but, do it that way paid off in the end.

For my final two baskets, both the Mint Macaroon (I can't find any photographs of this one??) and the Delightful Dijon, I used red sticky strip!

Stampin' Up! have stopped selling this now but it is still widely available in craft shops.

Whether it was a combination of the sticky strip and sewing, or just one or the other, I'll probably never know.

Any future projects that I want to add any kind of lace trim, I will use both parts to ensure the ribbon stays put.

Personally, after putting so much effort into creating something so beautiful, I'm not taking a chance by cutting corners!

That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.
