I felt very sorry for my hairdresser yesterday!
Her colleague phoned in sick.
Fortunately, she only had one client that day.
So Jo had to look after her, as well as me, and the phones and walk ins!
I appreciate hairdressers get sick but my hairdressers is a chain of five branches.
I would have thought that the owners could have arranged for one person to go over from one of the other branches to at least cover the phone and walk ins.
Or at the very least, they could have arranged for the calls to be diverted to another branch!
But very well done, Jo - she was very professional and just carried on with what had to be done in her usual cheery way!
I need some more Thank You cards and decided to use the plant in a pot stamp that has a heart for the flower!
The plan was to paint the stamp with markers but leave the heart and punch them from coloured cardstock using the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack.
If you look carefully at the first five photographs you'll see they are five different cards.
I've put them in order of favourite first, least favourite last.
I used our Notecards & Envelopes for these cards as I think they are a brilliant size for thank you cards.
I'll start from the top of the card and work my way down telling you what products I used.
For the first two cards (photographs 1 - 3) the butterfly, which is from the Sale-A-Bration (SAB) Stamp Set called Flowering Fields, was stamped in Island Indigo.
I painted the inside using the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.
I painted the stem using the Cucumber Crush Marker Pen and the flower pot using the Cajun Craze Marker Pen.
I stamped the flower pot again in Cajun Craze Ink onto a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock and cut it out by hand.
I stamped the small flower from the Pictogram Punches Stamp Set, using Tangelo Twist Ink, onto Whisper White Cardstock.
I curled the flower slightly and added it to the top of the stem with Tombow.
Using Early Espresso ink, I stamped the tiny flower from the Beautiful Ride Stamp Set onto the cut flower pot and then adhered it with a Dimensional on top of the stamped pot.
Using Cajun Craze Ink, I stamped the banner stamp from the Number of Years Stamp set directly onto the card.
Then, using Cucumber Crush Ink, I stamped the Thank You sentiment from An Open Heart Stamp Set, into the centre of the banner.
I did cards three and four (photographs 4 - 6) the same except I stamped the flower onto Tangelo Twist Cardstock.
The plant pot was stamped onto Cajun Craze Cardstock and cut out.
For the fifth card (photographs 7 - 8) I coloured the actual stamp.
I used Cucumber Crush Marker Pen to colour the stem and leaves and then I used the Cajun Craze Marker Pen to colour the pot.
The only 3D was the pearls.
I think that's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
