What I Love Thank You Cards

Hello, Crafters.

Yesterday I had to make some more Thank You cards because I was down to my last one.

I decided to use the three step flower stamp in the What I Love Stamp Set that's available as a free product during Sale-A-Bration.

Although I match up the pointers on each stamp, they don't seem to line up properly. A

t first, I thought it was just me! LOL! But I have come to the conclusion, this is all part of the design and I love it.

The three stamps do line up but only sort of! The effect is brilliant and each flower looks as if it has been skilfully painted!

When choosing which three colours to use, it's important to make sure that the second and third stamps - the solid colour stamps - aren't so overpowering that they block each other nor the first line stamp.

I've tried three colour-ways for my cards and also used Pear Pizzazz Ink for the leaves.

The three groups are: Rose Red, Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette; Island Indigo, Lost Lagoon stamped off once and Soft Sky; Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum and Wisteria Wonder.

I've used our Notecards for my Thank you cards and stamped one flower just under halfway down on the left hand side and one almost at the bottom on the right hand side.

I stamped the third flower on a scrap of paper and fussy cut it.

I also stamped two of the outline flowers onto Post It notes and fussy cut them.

I used these to mask the flowers so I could stamp the leaves so they looked as if they were coming from behind the flowers.

Once I had inked up the leaves stamp with Pear Pizzazz Ink, I stamped off gently before stamping onto my card.

I started doing four branches but moved onto five.

I adhered the third flower between the two I'd stamped directly onto the card using Dimensionals.

In all three colours I stamped the sentiment, which is from Sassy Salutations Stamp Set, in the same colour I stamped the flower outline image. I

had an ink mark on the edge of one of my cards towards the top and I disguised it by adding another branch of leaves and balanced it with a branch on the other side.

I liked the result and went back and added both branches to all my cards!

I made nine altogether, so that'll keep me going for a little while! Well, I'm off to work now, so until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.
