Hello, Crafters.
I didn't quite get round to making Sunday's video yesterday! I have everything ready and will do it first thing this morning!
Then, while it's uploading onto YouTube, hubby and I are going to take our Christmas decorations down. I know the house is going to look very bare without them but it won't take long to get used to it again.
Hubby brought the outside lights in yesterday and gave them a jolly good clean. He left them in the conservatory overnight to dry out, so they can be put away today.
My card today is a great masculine birthday card, even though I've used Dazzling Diamonds on the trees. The stamp set I've used will be available as a free product during Sale-a-bration (SAB) which starts in 3 days!!
Please note: this stamp set, along with two other products in the SAB catalogue, will only be available until 15th February 2016.
This will be one of the few stamp sets I'll keep once it's no longer available. The reason being that it's great for masculine cards and I'll use it for my own personal cards and commissions.
To make this card, I started with a card base of Whisper White Card Stock with a layer of Mossy Meadow, adhered together with Tombow.
I prepared the tree stamp from the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set by using Daubers to ink the tops of the trees in Mossy Meadow Ink and the trunks in Chocolate Chip Ink.
I huffed on the image before stamping it about three quarters of an inch from the bottom of my top layer of Whisper White Card Stock. Then I used a Blender Pen over the tops of the trees to spread the green ink around.
After that I went over the green areas with my Two Way Glue Pen and covered with Dazzling Diamonds. I shook off the excess and put to one side to allow to dry.
While I was waiting, I stamped the aeroplane image using StazOn Jet Black Ink onto another piece of Whisper White Card Stock. I used Chocolate Chip Ink and a Blender Pen to paint the body of the plane. Then I cut the plane out.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the same stamp set as the plane and I stamped it using StazOn Jet Black Ink, slightly crooked! I adhered the plane to the card using Dimensionals.
I think this may be a good card for a video - the jury's out on this at the moment!
That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
I think it would make a lovely video, I'm always interested in how you do different things. Like I would never have thought to use a dauber to ink up the tree stamp, thanks for the tip...Ann
ReplyDeleteHi, Ann. Yes, this'll be my next video as I've received enquiries about how I did the trees. I'm pleased you like this way of inking up stamps. Happy crafting, JanB.
