Hello, Crafters.
I hope you all had a truly joyous Christmas!
We certainly did and would have liked it to have gone on for a few more hours!
To make today's card, I used the Sale-a-bration Stamp Set called Flowering Fields and my chosen colour is Calypso Coral.
I started with a card base of Whisper White followed by a Layer of Calypso Coral.
I embossed the top Whisper White layer using the Fluttering Embossing Folder.
I punched out four 1.25" Whisper White Squares and four 1 3/8" Calypso Coral squares.
Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, I stamped three of the different flowers on the white squares and painted them using inks and a blender pen.
The green ink I used is Old Olive.
Then I cut a piece of Calypso Coral Card Stock that measures 3 1/8" x 1 3/8" and a piece of Whisper white that measures 3" x 1.25".
Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink I stamped another of the flowers and coloured in using the same method as previously.
I adhered the layers together with Tombow Glue and then adhered to card base using Dimensionals.
For each of the small squares, I cut 2 Dimensionals in half and adhered one piece in each corner.
The sentiment stamp is from the Amazing Birthday Stamp Set.
The full stamp has Happy four times but I wanted to keep the square to the same size as the three small flowers.
I covered the top two HAPPY's and the bottom BIRTHDAY TO YOU with tape and stamped in the Calypso Coral Ink.
I removed the tape and painted the last two lines using my Old Olive Marker Pen.
I huffed on the stamp to make sure all the ink was moist and I stamped onto the last small square of Whisper White Card Stock.
I finished off with a hand tied bow using out Whisper White Baker's Twine to the largest flower.
I'd like to show you my Christmas Tree as I have about
twelve of my handmade decorations on there.
I've made videos showing how to make them all.
The decorations include folding stars, fir cone baubles (that holds a battery-operated tea light), German bells and baubles made from a Stampin' Up! ornament die.
I have quite a lot of my other hand made decorations around the house.
I'll try and remember to photograph them later today so I can share them with you in tomorrow's blog!
Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
Another great card, Jan ... very cheerful and easy to do, but I love your whole layout (and colour choices again!) Love seeing your beautiful Christmas tree and all the elegant ornaments that you have made to decorate it with. Such a talented, artistic lady you are! Absolutely gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteYour tree is really lovely. Really like the white bows. Would love to see how you made the fir cone bauble with the tea lights.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kate. I made a video showing how to make the tea-light baubles. This is the link: https://youtu.be/X7BXTkqSSz0 Happy crafting, JanB.
