I'm really pleased to say that I had a good result when I went back to see my consultant yesterday.
The MRI scan shows there is nothing really nasty going on inside my spine!
I've known for some years that one of my vertebrae is wearing away but part of it has now crumbled.
The good news is, my body is working on repairing itself, so it's a question of wait and see how good a job it can do.
At least I know that, although it will make my back complain, I'm not aggravating my problem!
I think the seed was sown last week when I used it for one of my projects.
It reminded me how much I enjoyed using it last year!
I find it very easy to get great cards with minimum effort with this set.
I started my card with a base of Whisper White Card Stock with a layer of Smokey Slate.
I stamped the top layer of Whisper White with the Hardwood Stamp that I'd inked in Smoky Slate and stamped off once.
I adhered the layers together using Tombow.
Then I adhered a Tea Lace Paper Doily towards the top.
There are three layers for the wreath but I've only used one for this card.
I stamped it in Versamark on Whisper White Card Stock and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.
I die cut it using the Wonderful Wreath Framelits and adhered it on top of the doily using Dimensionals.
I saved three to use later on the sentiment.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set in the same way as I did the wreath.
I punched it out using the Extra Large Oval Punch.
To put the doily around the sentiment, I took another doily and cut the outside edge off along the outside edge of the solid white circle.
I put SNAIL around the edge of the back of the sentiment and gathered a small amount of doily and pressed it onto the adhesive.
I punched a scalloped oval piece of Whisper White Card Stock and adhered it to the back of the sentiment with Tombow to hold the gathered doily safely in place.
I added the three remaining painted pearls onto the sentimentand then added it to the front of the card using Dimensionals.
Some of the photographs have been taken with the card standing up and some laying down because the silver embossing looks so different depending on its angle and the direction of the light - hope that makes sense! LOL!
Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
