Wondrous Wreath Challenge No. 3

Hello, Crafters.

I had a very successful day in my studio yesterday. My first job was to decide what projects I'm going to do for classes this coming Saturday. I decided on the dancing daubers and thumping cards I did as part of last week's challenge. All packets are cut out and ready, I just need to do the instruction sheets.

We also do a 3D project in class so I'm working on a self-closing box. I made one yesterday and found it surprisingly easy to do. Today I need to cut the packets out and to do an instruction sheet. Then I'll be ready for Saturday.

I am planning to start offering Classes in the Mail in respect of the monthly classes I run and I'm hoping to have them up and running in the New Year. Stampin' Up! rules allow me to offer these in our European Market only i.e. the Netherlands, France, Germany, Austria and, of course, here in the UK. Now onto yesterday's challenge card. I have wanted to make a card like this ever since I saw Frenchie - France Martin - make a banister one on a video a few years ago. The Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set lends itself to this idea brilliantly. I started with a Whisper White card base, with a layer of Real Red and a top layer of Whisper White. I inked the Hardwood Stamp in Versamark and stamp onto a piece of Tip Top Taupe because I wanted the woodgrain to be visible but only just.

It took a bit of patience working out the spacing and I'm really happy with the result. Needless to say I also had to work out how I could get the railings straight - as you know, I struggle to get straight lines! LOL! My determination paid off! I stamped the two leaf layers of the stamp set using Wild Wasabi first, followed by Garden Green. The bow and the flowers are also from the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set and were stamped in Real Red, as was the sentiment. The sentiment is beautifully straight thanks to my Stamp-a-ma-jig!

Finally, I painted the Pearl Basic Jewels using a yellow Sharpie Pen to make the flowers  image poinsettias.
