Embedded Baubles Video & Using Stamps Differently No. 2

DEBOSSED
Hello, Crafters.

You may remember that one of the reasons I cited for giving up my job in London in February, was the travelling.

As well as all the pushing and shoving to get on and off the trains, the standing was aggravating my back.

EMBOSSED
I've had a problem with it for thirty years now but have always managed to keep it under control with monthly physio, exercising and painkillers.

But it has been getting worse and giving up my job hasn't helped my back - it's helped me big time! - but not my back.

So I had a trip to the hospital yesterday to see my orthopaedic surgeon who I haven't seen for fourteen years!

He has arranged for me to have an MRI scan carried out on Friday.

The really good news is that he's confident he can help me.

I have just uploaded my latest video which I have called: Embedded Baubles - see the first two photographs, one embossed, one debossed.

This technique is so simple but the effect is brilliant. It's also quite a quick technique, too.

For today's project, I have painted my banner stamp using marker pens.

It does require patient and the stamped image is never the same quality you get with putting stamp to ink.

Using Soft Suede Ink, I stamped the trees image from the White Christmas Stamp Set onto Whisper White Card Stock.

I coloured the tree trunks in using my Crumb Cake Marker Pen.

I used marker pens to colour the banner stamp, first using Soft Suede for the two ropes and outlines of the pennants.

Then I alternated the colours of the letters between Real Red and Garden Green.

To remove ink from the wrong place, I used a Blended Pen to remove all ink on that area and went over with the correct colour.

Before I stamped the banner, I huffed on the stamp to re-moisten the ink.

I added the two birds in Chocolate Chip Ink and used a Blender pen to use the outline to colour the birds in.

The polar bear was stamped in Soft Suede Ink and I used Soft Sky Ink for the snow.

The image is from Reason For The Season Stamp Set, which I inked in Soft Suede but stamped it off once before stamping it onto Whisper White Card Stock.

I punched it out using the Note Tag Punch, sponged the edges and adhered to the card front using Tombow.

I finished off by using my Two Way Glue Pen to highlight areas where I wanted to put Dazling Diamonds.

That's it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
