Poppies from the Tower of London

Hello, Crafters.

I'm really pleased
to say that
Saturday's snow
stopped almost as
soon as it started!

Also on Saturday,
I was so excited
when the four poppies
I'd ordered from the
Tower of London
Sea of Blood
Memorial arrived.

As well as one for
myself, I also
bought one each
for my three
grandchildren
as a reminder
that 888,246 men
lost their lives
during WW1
fighting for our
country.

Each poppy came
in its own box with
the stem and fittings,
together with
instructions on how
to put them together.

Also in the box I found
a commemorative
booklet and a
certificate
guaranteeing their
authenticity.

I checked all four
boxes to make sure
there wasn't anything
missing or broken
and was quite
surprised to see that there were two quite different kinds of red used for the poppies. I think you can see the difference in the photographs here.

Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
