Embellished with small flowers

Hello Crafters.

Sorry I missed you
yesterday but our
Internet was down.
Apparently we need
a new something or
other which will take
two days to arrive.
Fortunately for me,
BC has been able to
work his magic and
get me up and running
again! Thanks a
million to my
wonderful partner!

My card today is
one of those that just
evolved. I was trying
to design a card using
some painted DSP
but it didn't go
according to plan. I
have since had an idea
how I can make it
work and will be
re-visiting it on Sunday.

The colour is Island
Indigo and I used the
Morning Meadow
hostess stamp set with
a sheet from the
Quatrefancy Specialty
DSP. Unfortunately,
both these items are
retired but any Island
Indigo DSP will work
for this card, together
with the swirly stamp
in the Everything
Eleanor stamp set.

I used the small
scalloped circle punch
from the retired Itty
Bitty Punch Pack but
the flower punch in the
new Itty Bitty Accents
Punch Pack would also
work well. Alternatively,
you could also use the
smallest flower from
the Boho Blossoms punch
although it would need
less flowers than I have
used because of the size.
I'll give it a try and
post it here to show you
the result.

To curl the flowers, I placed them in the palm of my hand and pressed down with the base of my paper piercer. I then added the three dots inside each flower using my white gel pen. I adhered the flowers to the card with a small dot of Tombow glue on the bottom. The birthday greeting is from
the Wetlands stamp set.

Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.

  1. A lovely card, for sure! I love the colors you chose. The flowers are reminiscent of Forget me nots - such a sweet and tiny flower, easy to overlook! The flowers on this card won't be overlooked! Thank you Jan. Julie

  2. Hi, Julie. Although I didn't think about it at the time, I agree, they do look like Forget-me-nots. It wasn't my plan but If it was I would have called the card Forget-me-nots rather than just small flowers! Happy crafting, JanB.
